Berean hosts several fellowships throughout the year to encourage our church family to grow in their love for one another and to invite others to visit our church. These fellowships are the perfect opportunity for new members and visitors to learn more about our church family and also a time when our church family can gather together for a time of encouragement and good, clean, family fun.
Special Services and Fellowships
Twice a year, once in the spring and fall, we have a special Sunday service that is geared toward inviting friends, family, co-workers, and others to join us for a special day as our honored guests. We always have a fellowship meal following the morning service that is provided by the church family.
Several times a year we hold annual church-wide picnics for Memorial Day and Labor Day. Occasionally, we also have a church wide picnic for Independence Day. These are fun times together as we first have our regular church service followed by a time of games and activities. Some like to get together to play a friendly game of softball, while others enjoy card games and board games.
Ice Cream Churn
Each year near the beginning of August we have a special Sunday night fellowship where we enjoy homemade ice cream. Various church members sign-up to make their favorites, while others bring the toppings! The Ice Cream Churn is a great night to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Annual Chili Cook-Off
Every November we host an Annual Chili Cook-off. For those who wish to participate all they have to do is simply enter their best chili into the contest. The night of the cook-off, a panel of judges tastes each chili and scores them accordingly. The champion and first runner up are awarded aprons. There is also a “People’s Choice” award that is given to the chili that receives the highest number of votes from the people. This is always an enjoyable time to eat some delicious chili, fellowship together, and have fun all at the same time.
Each year the Sunday prior to Thanksgiving we have a church-wide Thanksgiving Meal following the morning service. The church provides the turkey and ham, while the church family brings all of the favorite Thanksgiving side dishes and desserts. The Sunday evening service is a special time as we share testimonies of the Lord’s goodness in our lives. It is definitely a service you will not want to miss!
