What to Expect

What to Expect

We hope that your visit to Berean Baptist will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and “at home”! Here are a few answers to your questions and what you might expect on your first visit.

When are your services?

Each Sunday we have Children’s Sunday School Classes and Adult LIFE Groups that meet at 10 AM followed by our morning worship service at 11 AM. We also meet on Sundays at 6 PM for our evening service.

On Wednesdays our AWANA groups meet at 6:30 PM, and the Adult Bible study and prayer meeting begins at 7 PM.

What should I expect?

Our friendly greeters will meet you and direct you to the right classes and services. They can also answer other questions you may have.

Most adults attend one worship service where they enjoy the music of the choir, ensembles, and soloists. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Davis. This service is a little over one hour in length. Also, during the 10:00 am hour, there are LIFE Groups. These classes are smaller group settings where you are invited to meet people, enjoy some coffee, and hear a teaching lesson that is applicable to daily living. We believe the best way to get to know people at Berean Baptist Church is to visit one of these LIFE Groups.

Where Do I Take My Children?

Starting with our nurseries, there is something special for every age child. At every service there are safe, clean, and staffed nurseries for children three years old and under. For the infants, mothers will receive a pager so that the nursery attendants can easily contact you if there is a need. For children four years old through sixth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes. These classes are staffed with trained, and friendly teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child.

We would like to help you find the appropriate nurseries, classes, and services for every person in your family. Please see one of our greeters or ushers located around campus as well as in the lobby of the main building who would be glad to help direct and even escort you to the right place.

What About My Teens?

MERGE is our student ministries and they meet during the LIFE Group hour at 10 AM with a special class just for them. After thier class, the teens join the adults in the auditorium for the morning worship service.

How Should I Dress?

There is not a dress code at Berean for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here!

Am I Expected to Participate in the Offering?

No. We don’t invite you to Berean for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
